Key Responsibilities

Regulatory & Standards Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with OSHA 1994, Factories and Machinery Act, and JKKP guidelines.
  • Integrate ISO 45001 requirements into daily operations and documentation.
  • Monitor legal updates and communicate changes to site and workshop teams.

ISO SOP Management

  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for site and workshop operations.
  • Ensure SOPs cover fabrication, welding, lifting, confined space entry, hot work, and equipment maintenance.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and updates based on audits and operational changes.

    • Job Safety Analysis (JSA)

  • Lead JSA development for high-risk tasks in both field and workshop settings.
  • Ensure JSAs are reviewed, signed, and communicated before work begins.
  • Update JSAs following incidents or procedural changes.

    • On-Site Safety Supervision (Oil & Gas)

  • Maintain daily presence at oil and gas sites to enforce safety protocols.
  • Monitor activities such as drilling, lifting, hot work, and confined space entry.
  • Ensure compliance with PPE, permit-to-work systems, and emergency readiness.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and behavioral safety observations.

    • Workshop Safety Monitoring

  • Conduct regular inspections of company workshops, including fabrication bays, welding stations, and equipment storage areas.
  • Ensure compliance with housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and ventilation standards.
  • Monitor use of machinery, hand tools, and hazardous substances.
  • Verify that workshop personnel follow SOPs and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Identify unsafe conditions and initiate corrective actions promptly.
  • Maintain workshop safety logs and inspection records.

    • Risk Management & HIRARC

  • Perform HIRARC assessments for both site and workshop operations.
  • Implement and monitor control measures.
  • Escalate non-compliance and unsafe conditions.

    • Training & Awareness

  • Conduct safety inductions and refreshers aligned with JKKP and ISO modules.
  • Promote safety culture through campaigns and peer engagement.

    • Incident Reporting & Investigation

  • Assist in incident investigations and ensure documentation using JKKP formats.
  • Submit reports to DOSH when required and follow up on corrective actions.

    • Safety Audits & Inspections

  • Conduct inspections using JKKP and ISO checklists for both field and workshop environments.
  • Document findings and ensure timely resolution.

    • Emergency Preparedness

  • Support emergency response planning, drills, and equipment readiness.
  • Ensure alignment with ISO and JKKP emergency protocols.

    • Qualifications & Requirements

  • Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in oil & gas safety supervision (internship experience considered).
  • Familiarity with OSHA 1994, ISO 45001 and JKKP guidelines.
  • Valid DOSH Green Book or Yellow Book registration (preferred).
  • Strong observational, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management systems.
