Role Description

This position leads continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring Hach maintains world-class financial processes and controls through examination and evaluation of internal control for business processes. Findings will be communicated to management with recommendations for improvements and through partnership with the regional Finance team, process improvement will be realized. This is a high-visibility role, working closely with Hach senior leaders and business unit managers, as well as Veralto personnel.

What You’ll Be Doing (Job Responsibilities)

• Design and perform and / or direct annual audits and balance sheet reviews for Hach regional locations.
• Review and perform periodic self-assessments of business processes to identify potential risks and control weaknesses and improvement opportunities. Design and align actions to mitigate those risks for effective and efficient processes, working with country finance leaders for timely execution.
• Implement best-in-class financial processes and controls across Hach’s operations.
• Provide support and follow-up on the closure of audit issues, including monthly updates with Country Controllers and Country Managers.
• Review business units’ Anti-Corruption Self Assessments and work with Legal to develop ACP policies and programs.
• Drive global financial compliance activities with Country Controllers and Hach Corporate team.
• Drive the implementation of new accounting policies and standards, and review and implementation of country-level revenue recognition policies in the region. Act as the go-to team member for technical accounting questions for the region.
• Execute special projects as required, such as investigations.
• Provide periodic training and guidance to finance and cross-functional teams on compliance activities and updated policies.
• Promote use of Lean Management Tools and continuous improvement within the Finance organization and the business.
• Challenge existing processes, systems, and data outputs and implement changes to create a best-in-class control environment.
• Demonstrate self-management and strong leadership with the ability to influence others; drive results with urgency.
• Build productive relationships with all levels of management.
• Travel required : 30% – 50% of the time.
