Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain CCTV systems, access control, alarms, and related security equipment.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of surveillance systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with cameras, DVRs / NVRs, cabling, and network connections.
  • Perform system upgrades, firmware updates, and replacements when required.
  • Ensure proper wiring, cabling, and power connections for system stability.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and system schematics.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients / end-users on system operation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations during installations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, system configurations, and maintenance schedules.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and IT teams for system integration.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience as a CCTV or security systems technician (minimum 3–5 years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of CCTV systems (analog & IP), DVR / NVR configuration, and networking basics.
  • Proficiency in cabling, crimping, and electrical / electronic troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with access control systems, alarm systems, and other low-voltage security equipment.
  • Ability to use testing tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, lift equipment, and work in various environments.

    • Education / Certification (Preferred)

  • SPM / Diploma / Certificate in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, IT, or related field.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, Milestone, or similar).
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices.
