Position : Pet Nutrition and Care (PNC) Business Manager (Asia)

Position Type : Full-time

Working Time : Monday to Friday

Location : Remote (Malaysia-based), with required travel to Singapore.

About the role :

Pet Nutrition and Care (PNC) Business Manager (Asia)

Role Overview :

Take the lead on driving the growth of our pet nutrition brands (Solid Gold and Zesty Paws) in Asia. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with a robust background in distribution management, business development, channel marketing initiatives, and market analysis within the pet nutrition or FMCG industry. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of sales channels, including online, pet specialty, and veterinary, across key markets in Asia (Singapore, South Korea, Thailand). This role demands the ability to align and satisfy channel partners' business objectives through the implementation of targeted growth strategies.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for management of existing and establishing new channel partners focusing on Pet Nutritional Care brands
  • Conduct regular meetings with channel partners as often as required to co-ordinate ranging, promotions, training, demand planning and driving sales outcomes
  • Implementing sales, brand and marketing initiatives to drive local and regional business growth
  • Collaborate closely with the regional marketing team to develop comprehensive 360-degree brand campaigns and ensure benchmark implementation

Financial Performance Management

  • Ensuring all key financial metrics are met. Gross sales, discounts, Gross margin, COOP budget and trade spend, promotional ROI
  • Analyse sales performance for local demand forecast and planning
  • Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong relationships and networks within the market, including customers and distributors
  • Ensure the share of support aligns with market share targets among channel partners
  • Business Planning & Execution

  • Develop strong and differentiated annual business plans for channel partners to drive the growth
  • Present and promote all new product introductions effectively to channel partners
  • Key Account Management :

  • Monitor and review existing key account trading terms to optimize business relationships and performance
  • Conduct monthly trade reviews with existing channel partners to assess performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Requirements :

  • Bachelor degree in BA, Marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, preferably within pet specialty, e-commerce, and veterinary channels. Experience in the Pet Care industry is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully growing revenue and a strong ambition to drive progress in a rapidly growing business environment
  • Demonstrated success in field sales with the ability to cultivate existing relationships and establish new ones effectively
  • Expertise in channel marketing strategies and execution to optimize brand visibility and drive sales growth
  • Exceptional negotiation skills coupled with the ability to deliver effective presentations
  • Strong ability to work independently, coupled with excellent analytical skills and a strategic mindset
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written Chinese and English languages
