QA Tester - API

, you will oversee all aspects of quality assurance for digital applications, especially mobile and API-based solutions. You'll lead test planning, execution, defect triage, and mentoring, while also collaborating with developers, product teams, and external stakeholders. You will play a key role in shaping test strategies, enhancing QA practices, and driving continuous improvement in delivery quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare test plans, test scripts, and test cases based on user and business requirements.
• Conduct manual and automated testing for mobile and web-based applications across multiple platforms.
• Perform comprehensive API testing (functionality, performance, security) using tools such as Postman.
• Design, maintain, and execute detailed test scenarios and regression test suites.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality requirements are met throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Conduct internal system testing, manage SIT, UAT, performance, load, penetration, and regression testing cycles.
• Perform defect triage, categorization, documentation, and tracking using lifecycle management tools like TRAC, HP ALM, or equivalents.
• Actively explore and introduce new tools and testing techniques.
• Mentor QA team members, manage external QA / testing partners, and establish testing metrics and best practices.
• Document and communicate defects clearly and follow up with developers for resolution.
• Assist in business analysis and functional documentation as part of system implementation projects.
