Project Engineer

Overview

Participate in project bidding from the technical (material take-off) perspective. Conduct site surveys as required. Responsible for monitoring project schedule and providing technical pass-down for construction process flow. Engage in technical, process & schedule discussions with the client to avoid site construction problems.

Responsibilities

• Work out the project execution plan and related detailed work plan / method of statement in accordance with company regulations.
• Perform technical pass-down to all site workers according to the construction work plan / method of statement and acceptance criteria. Keep official records of all technical pass-downs with signatures from engineers and workers.
• Own the scope of management : study construction drawings, determine requirements in size, elevation, material of construction, and material specifications. Manage site construction by following design drawings and the construction work plan / method of statement. Report to supervisor and propose timely solutions to site problems.
• Set quality management targets and quality control measures; monitor and follow up on quality control work throughout the project.
• Assist the manager to monitor and manage site construction work from technical, quality, and safety perspectives.
• Verify construction drawings and changes in work scope. Communicate with the design engineer for any design-related issues.
• Respond to site instructions from the client.
• Check and monitor material stock levels to ensure smooth site installation.
• Complete additional tasks as arranged by the supervisor.
