Area Manager

Overview

Responsible for driving sales and overseeing retail operations across the respective outlets assigned. Ensure operational efficiency and adherence to standard procedures to deliver an exceptional customer experience. Manage outlet staff performance and oversee manpower planning, hiring, and payroll for assigned stores and events. Serve as the communication bridge between HQ and outlet staff and act as the main point of contact with mall management’s marketing and leasing teams. This role is primarily stationed at the Primary Outlet in Klang Valley, with a required secondary outlet availability for at least 3 days per month (locations may be outside Klang Valley).

Job Responsibilities

• Sales & Customer Experience : Achieve and exceed sales targets while ensuring a positive shopping experience across outlets; cultivate a welcoming, customer-first environment.
• Staff Training & Development : Ensure staff are trained on product knowledge, customer service techniques, and cross-selling; supervise and develop team members; conduct daily briefings and ensure HQ weekly task checklists are executed timely.
• Merchandising & Store Presentation : Maintain visually appealing displays, organize merchandise, position bestseller products in high-traffic areas, and implement promotional setups that attract customers.
• Team Leadership : Oversee staff performance in alignment with company policies and standards; lead training, motivation, and development efforts.
• Operational Excellence : Manage inventory controls, maintain stock levels, and ensure accurate records; coordinate with HQ warehouse for replenishments; ensure timely fulfillment of online orders from outlets; address customer product feedback with HQ; ensure compliance with company policies.
• Mall Partnership : Act as primary liaison with mall management for assigned outlets; coordinate events and promotions; ensure outlet licenses and bills are paid and renewed in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Having experience as Area Manager in Fashion Retail for 2–3 years is required.

Strong leadership and customer management abilities; fluent English and interpersonal communication skills; customer service-oriented with knowledge of basic business management processes; flexibility to work in shifts.
