About your new role!

We are seeking an experienced Senior Specialist Backend Software Developer with hands‑on expertise in Node.js and NestJS to join our engineering team. This role requires a strong technical foundation in modern backend development, excellent communication skills for direct client collaboration, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

As a Senior Specialist, you will deliver high‑quality solutions across GrowthOps client projects, taking ownership of technical decisions and continuously improving processes for effectiveness and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable back‑end services and APIs using Node.js and NestJS.
Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployment workflows.
Engage directly with clients to gather requirements, present solutions, and conduct white‑boarding sessions.
Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical decisions.
Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.
Implement cloud infrastructure on AWS and / or Azure with guidance.
Experience building and maintaining enterprise‑grade applications with high availability and security requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

A bachelor’s degree or higher (preferably in computer sciences, system engineering or similar field).

6+ years of professional back‑end development experience.

Hands‑on experience developing scalable back‑end services and APIs using Node.js and NestJS.

Hands‑on experience containerizing applications with Docker.

Good understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and design patterns.

Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.

Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Excellent written and spoken English.

Comfortable presenting to clients and white‑boarding technical solutions.

Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.

Willingness to explore and learn new languages including Java and .NET.

Adaptable and eager to work with emerging technologies.

Experience managing cloud infrastructure on AWS and / or Azure, including monitoring and logging tools, is advantageous.
