Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist in all food preparation tasks related to the Garde Manger station (cold kitchen).
  • Ensure mise en place is ready prior to each service and maintain par stocks.
  • Help maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation.
  • Prepare salads, cold appetizers, sandwiches, and other cold kitchen items as per recipes and standards.
  • Assist senior chefs with station setup and breakdown.
  • Properly label and store food items following HACCP guidelines.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or food shortages to the supervisor promptly.
  • Ensure that food is prepared and presented according to hotel and quality standards.
  • Obtain and stock requisitioned items from the storeroom as needed.
  • Comply with all health and safety, food hygiene, and hotel policies.

Qualifications :

  • Vocational certificate or diploma in professional cuisine or culinary arts.
  • Prior experience in a cold kitchen or professional culinary environment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skills & Competencies :

  • Basic culinary skills and knife handling.
  • Attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
  • Team player with a willingness to learn.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication in the national language and English.
  • Strong work ethic and reliability.
  • Job Type : Full-time

    Pay : RM1, RM2,100.00 per month
