Overview
As the Regional Product Manager - Ultra Precision Solutions, you will be the driving force behind the growth and development of a specialized product portfolio serving the electronics, semiconductor, and medical sectors across Asia. This role is highly cross-functional, requiring close collaboration with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and commercial teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet market demands and exceed customer expectations. Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap : Define and execute the product vision and strategy. Develop multi-year product roadmaps that align with customer needs, supplier capabilities, and market opportunities. Go-to-Market Leadership : Craft tailored GTM strategies for key markets. Work with commercial teams to deliver compelling value propositions, technical sales tools, and training to enable success in the field. New Product Development : Lead end-to-end product development cycles - gather VOC, define product requirements, prioritize features, and manage cross-functional collaboration with R&D, operations, and marketing. Supplier Engagement : Build and manage strategic relationships with third-party manufacturing partners, particularly in Penang. Align production capabilities with commercial goals and quality expectations. Lifecycle Management : Manage the full product lifecycle - from ideation, launch, and growth to maturity and sunset. Drive continuous improvement and cost optimization initiatives. Market & Customer Insight : Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and customer interviews to identify unmet needs and trends. Translate insights into actionable product strategies. Sales & Revenue Forecasting : Provide volume forecasts, support inventory planning, and work with finance on margin management and pricing strategy to meet commercial targets. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Serve as the product expert and central liaison across R&D, Sales, Operations, and Marketing. Ensure alignment of priorities and seamless execution. Performance Monitoring : Define and track KPIs (e.g., revenue vs. plan, quote-to-order conversion, margin growth). Course-correct where needed to achieve business outcomes. Thought Leadership : Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry shifts, and regional regulatory trends. Anticipate change and prepare product strategy to stay ahead of the curve. The Successful Applicant
A successful Product Manager should have : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering; an MBA is preferred but not required. Minimum 10 years' experience, with at least 5 years in a core product management role - product management experience is essential. Candidates without it will not be considered. Proven ability to drive business growth through strategy development, product innovation, and cross-functional execution. Demonstrated experience in leading product lifecycle activities including roadmap development, pricing strategy, go-to-market execution, and post-launch optimization. Strong analytical and commercial acumen with a customer-centric mindset. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills to influence across functions and regions. Prior experience working with external suppliers or manufacturers is advantageous, but not mandatory. Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership, initiative, and results orientation. Comfortable with regional travel (~25-30%), mainly within Asia (Penang, Taiwan, Korea, Japan). Open to international candidates - work visa sponsorship for Malaysia is available for the right talent.
