Your impact

We are seeking a Senior Consultant – Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) to be based in JB, Malaysia, for a duration of 24 months. The role requires domain expertise in transit ticketing systems and the need to provide AFC support on urban rail and metro projects in Asia, providing technical oversight, strategic guidance, and stakeholder coordination.

The successful candidate will act as a lead engineer on assigned projects, supporting the delivery of AFC systems from concept through to commissioning. This includes working closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure high-quality outcomes aligned with project goals and industry best practices.

This role requires the successful candidate to :

• provide subject matter expertise in AFC systems across multiple projects, including smart ticketing, contactless payment, and backend clearing systems.
• contribute to feasibility studies, concept designs, procurement support, and strategic advisory services related to fare collection systems.
• act as Works Package Manager for AFC projects, supporting project teams with the review and approval of technical deliverables including design submissions, interface control documents, test plans, and system integration strategies.
• facilitate workshops and technical discussions with clients, operators, technology vendors, and other stakeholders.
