Automation Engineer

We are seeking a talented Automation Engineer to join our team at Wenics Sdn Bhd, based in the vibrant neighborhood of Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur. As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated solutions to streamline our client's production processes and improve efficiency across the organisation. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the growth of our dynamic company.

What you’ll be doing

Designing and developing automated systems and processes to enhance productivity and reduce manual labour

Programming and configuring PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems. Knowledge on power system, drive applications will be an added advantage.

Integrating various automation components, such as sensors, actuators, and control systems, to create efficient and reliable solutions

Troubleshooting and maintaining existing automation systems to ensure optimal performance

Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and implement effective solutions

Documenting and providing technical support for automated systems

Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the field of automation

What we’re looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or a related field

Minimum 3 years of experience in automation engineering, with a strong understanding of PLC programming and SCADA systems

Proficiency in programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, and Structured Text

Experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting industrial automation systems

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues

Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts and experience in implementing smart factory solutions
