The KYC & AML Name Screening Operations team is dedicated to safeguarding the organization against financial crime and ensuring compliance with global regulatory standards. The team’s primary functions include verifying customer identification documents, assessing the authenticity of provided information, conducting name screening against global watchlists and sanction lists, and performing both Enhanced and Ongoing Due Diligence. By combining regulatory expertise with operational precision, the department protects the company’s integrity, mitigates risks, and supports a compliant and efficient customer onboarding and monitoring process. Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the KYC & AML Name Screening team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Supervise verification of customer identification documents and assessment of authenticity of provided information. Review and sign-off on customer profile analyses, ensuring accurate risk ratings and compliance with company standards. Ensure effective use of industry-standard databases and screening tools for name screening against global watchlists and sanction lists. Oversee investigation and escalation of potential matches or hits, ensuring adherence to applicable compliance procedures. Guide and support Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on high-risk customers in accordance with risk rating. Monitor and review ongoing due diligence (ODD) processes for existing customers, ensuring records and risk ratings remain current. Keep the team updated on changes to sanction lists and regulatory requirements, adjusting screening procedures as needed. Provide training, mentoring, and support to team members; share insights to improve operational efficiency. Manage and coordinate ad-hoc exercises related to KYC & AML Name Screening Operations. Report key metrics, trends, and issues to senior management. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Law, or related field. Minimum 4–6 years’ experience in KYC / AML compliance operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team-lead role. Ability to identify and escalate potential compliance risks. Experience conducting Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and ongoing due diligence (ODD). Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to coach and develop staff. Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills. Up-to-date knowledge of global sanctions regimes and regulatory updates. Seniority level
