Position Summary
The Supply Chain Planning Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing supply chain plans to ensure efficient inventory management, manage demand-supply based on customer forecast, and smooth logistics to meet customer request date. This role requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and expertise in supply chain management tools to support seamless end-to-end supply chain performance. A key focus will be on the development and ongoing improvement of planning best practices and strategies to meet corporate inventory and business objectives and customer satisfaction goals. Effective execution of this position will support the realization of company goals to drive revenue growth and profitability by keeping expenses within budget, maintaining appropriate inventory levels, and continuing to look for optimization and savings opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Generate loading plan requirement based on customer forecast and upload into MRP for material planning purposes.
- Collaboratively plan with relevant teams for an optimized and lean supply chain.
- Maintain proper lean inventory levels in accordance with process capabilities and based on supermarket stock replenishment strategies.
- Proactive supply-demand matching to ensure delivery, order- and inventory KPI target fulfillment.
- Capacity and resource planning (equipment, material, headcount) alignment and controlling of planning parameters (part number, production route, BOM, yield, cycle time, utilization) with Industrial Engineers, Manufacturing and Finance.
- Generate demand vs. supply scenarios for customer upsides, process and technology conversions, new product launches and product obsolescence planning.
- Continue to improve the supply chain planning value stream by proposing enhancements to processes, procedures and planning tools.
- Lead risk assessments and mitigation plans to minimize supply disruptions.
- Ability to run “what if” scenarios.
- Provide feedback to customers on supply commitments.
- Identify system and process improvement opportunities in conjunction with the Supply Chain Planning Team.
- Complete special projects as assigned.
- Conduct data-driven performance analysis and prepare regular reports on supply chain KPIs (delivery, inventory and SIOP). Lead weekly business unit meetings and quarterly aged inventory review with management.
- Lead and manage a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance, training and support to enhance performance.
- Complies with environment, security, health and safety requirements.
