Senior ETL Developer

Responsibilities

Analyze, design and build ETL job preferable in medium to large scale projects.

Optimize and maintain existing data pipelines for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and database administrators to define data requirements and deliver accurate, timely solutions.

Develop and execute database queries and perform data analysis.

Perform data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure high data quality.

Develop and maintain ETL documentation , including design specifications, data flow diagrams, and operational procedures.

Support and monitor ETL / ELT replication job issues , identify improvements and resolution.

Support data governance and compliance initiatives to ensure proper data management practices.

Communicate effectively in both English and Chinese , including writing technical documentation and engaging in business discussions with Chinese-speaking teams.

Work together with other team to deliver BI solution to business users.

Mentor junior developers and contribute to team best practices in ETL and data engineering.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering , or related field.

5+ years of experience in ETL development, data integration, or data engineering.

Knowledge of ETL tools such as Talend, AWS Glue or related ETL tools.

Strong knowledge and experienced working with database queries (SQL including DDL and DML).

Hands‑on experience with data warehousing concepts , star / snowflake schemas , and dimensional modeling .

Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse).

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.

Fast learner, able to work independently & deliver effectively as a team.

Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese (reading, writing, speaking).

Has interest in Data analytics and Data Science. Knowledge and experience in programming is a plus.
