Head of Sixth Form (University Guidance Counsellor)

Adcote Matrix International School (AMIS) is an established international school, located in Seremban, Malaysia. The school is approximately 45 minutes away from the capital city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. We offer a broad and innovative curriculum from Early Years to IGCSE, based on a combination of the International Primary Curriculum (IPC), Cambridge International Curriculum and the National Curriculum for England and Wales.

We are seeking a Head of Sixth Form to lead the growth of our post sixteen provision at Pre-A and A level. The ideal candidate will be fully familiar with A Level provision including enrichment, university careers guidance and application process.

Responsibilities and Requirements :

• UK-trained or equivalent (PGCE or QTS) and has relevant experience of the Cambridge International curriculum and National Curriculum for England and Wales;
• At least three years of experience in sixth form management in a secondary school and is registered with the Department of Education (DfE) or equivalent;
• Up-to-date knowledge on the Cambridge International curriculum and National Curriculum for England, Wales, as well as understanding university application;
• High expectations of learners with appropriate inspiration and challenge;
• Encourage and contribute to a well-organised and inspiring learning environment;
• Experience of integrating technology into learning and teaching;
• A growth mindset to all aspects of school life;
• Passionate and willing to go above and beyond for the school community.
