Infrastructure Operations Assistant Manager (POS System / Retail & F&B Industry)
Our client oversees and runs a variety of dining and entertainment venues, including restaurants, lounges, bars, and other refreshment-focused outlets. Beyond its network of establishments, the company is also involved in the production, marketing, and distribution of an extensive selection of food items along with both alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic & Operational Leadership
Lead IT operations across both corporate and retail divisions, ensuring system stability, data integrity, and business continuity.
Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with the company’s growth and digital transformation roadmap.Manage and mentor IT team members, fostering collaboration and accountability.Retail Systems & Infrastructure ManagementOversee the performance, reliability, and integration of POS systems, payment terminals, and outlet hardware.
Ensure network stability and connectivity across multiple retail locations.Manage inventory systems, data synchronization, and troubleshooting between outlets and HQ systems.Coordinate technology rollouts and upgrades for new store openings or brand expansions.Corporate IT & Office SupportOversee office IT infrastructure including servers, cloud systems, ERP, and productivity tools.
Provide support for corporate teams in system setup, troubleshooting, and access management.Implement process automation and digital tools to improve internal efficiency.Project Management & ImplementationPlan and deliver key IT projects such as system integrations, process digitalization, and infrastructure enhancements.
Manage vendors and service providers to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high quality project execution.Partner with business units to design and implement technology solutions that drive operational improvement.Compliance, Security & GovernanceEstablish IT policies, SOPs, and cybersecurity frameworks across corporate and retail operations.
Conduct regular IT audits and ensure compliance with company policies and data protection standards.Implement cybersecurity, data backup, and disaster recovery plans to safeguard operations.Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in IT operations and infrastructure management, preferably within retail, F&B, or multi‑site environments.Proven experience managing POS systems, retail networks, and office‑based IT infrastructure.Skills & Attributes
Strong technical expertise in networking, server management, and system integration.Excellent project management, troubleshooting, and analytical abilities.Strong communication skills with the ability to support both HQ departments and outlet operations.Experience in vendor management and cost optimization.Adaptable, proactive, and capable of thriving in a fast‑paced retail environment.Mandarin proficiency an added advantage.Additional Information
