Analyst / Senior Analyst, Equity Capital Markets

Responsibilities

• Transaction Execution : Assist the Head of ECM and Directors in the end-to-end execution of ECM transactions (IPOs, placements, rights issues, convertible offerings), including drafting documents, coordinating processes, and managing settlement.
• Origination Support : Prepare high-quality proposals, pitchbooks, underwriting memos, and transaction documents to support client pitches and origination efforts. Collaborate with other Maybank IB / Group teams on joint marketing initiatives and maintain updated in-house databases to track market activity and opportunities.
• Stakeholder Engagement : Support the team in developing and maintaining strong relationships with corporate clients, institutional investors, regulators, stockbrokers, and internal committees / Board members. Arrange and coordinate meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, and prepare the necessary documents for effective engagement.
• Governance & Compliance : Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory requirements, internal procedures, and controls. Liaise with regulators, Compliance Supervision, and Risk Management departments, while keeping team members updated on relevant policies and regulations.
