The System Analyst is responsible for the application support including the implementation, enhancement, maintenance and administration of IT applications and its component. They will work closely with the Business Users to provide application operational support and to ensure timely and efficient resolution of IT application-related incidents.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Application Implementation and Enhancements
- Analyze current systems, plan upgrades or improvements, and manage system changes or enhancement projects with minimal disruption.
- Identify and escalate technical issues and risks, maintain technical documentation, and support audit activities by providing necessary documents and planning corrective actions.
System / Application Maintenance and Administration
Administer and monitor operating systems, hardware, applications, and related components across all environments to ensure high availability and optimal performance through regular maintenance tasks.Monitor system availability, capacity, resource usage, and throughput; resolve bugs, perform vulnerability remediation, and ensure all releases are reviewed by CAB and deployed in compliance with established processes.System / Application Technical Support
Resolve IT system technical incidents, service requests and problems promptly and effectively to support business needs.Assist in providing information and support for technical deployment or implementation tasks and activities of other related systems, solutions and technologies.Cooperate with other internal and external teams or parties on ad-hoc projects or assignments.Prepare technical documentation, reports, slide or other deliverables related to systems / applications as and when needed.Project / Change Management
Manage user requirements, incidents, SIT / UAT testing, and solution delivery.Coordinate with internal teams on infrastructure setup, application integration, penetration and load testing, and architecture design.Analyze user needs, recommend system enhancements and reports, assist in preparing Business Case, RFP, and Technical Specifications, and work with internal / external teams to translate business requirements into gap analysis, roadmap, and action plan / technology requirement.Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
Participate in disaster recovery simulation activities as planning, preparation, testing, and simulation when needed.Prepare and update disaster recovery documentations i.e. Disaster Recovery Procedure, Disaster Recovery Checklist, Disaster Recovery Run book, system recovery workflow, etc.Supplier Management
Assist in review and evaluate potential supplier solutions through a direct RFP or negotiation process.Assist in preparing RFI, RFP and relevant documents as part of project in good quality.Assist in evaluate and assess solution as part of technical committee and pricing committee for a comprehensive assessment for vendor & solution selection.JOB REQUIREMENTS
Malaysian citizen.Pass Malay Language including an oral test at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level.Possess a Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification in a relevant field recognized by the Government.Minimum 3 years of experience in system / application administration or support, with strong skills in IT issue diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution.Possess ITIL certification and experience in implementing the ITIL framework to apply best practices in ITSM.Well-versed in ITSM framework covering Incident and Service Request Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Asset Management and Knowledge Management to enhance IT service delivery, reduce incidents, and improve customer satisfaction.General Requirements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Team player with good communication in English and BM.Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Self-driven and able to work independently.Willing to support tasks beyond normal hours when needed.Technical Skills
Familiar with project management and business analysis.Experience in process flows, user journeys, and wireframes.Skilled in app integration with databases (MS SQL, Oracle), BPM, and REST APIs.Knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and basic server / database administration.Understanding of ITIL, ITSM, ALM, and integration with tools like JIRA is a plus.JOB STATUS
