About the role
- The Supply Chain Manager works under the Plant Manager. He or she is responsible for all activities related to local Supply Chain : Warehouse and Transportation, Production Scheduling, Material Releasing. He or she must assure the integrity of the inventory accuracy. Must ensure that all activities concerning replenishment, handling and warehousing of the raw materials, packaging supplies and finish goods for the plants are properly done. His or her overall responsibility and authority includes making decision on all re-engineering procedures and processes for the local supply chain activities.
Key responsibilities include
Inventory Management
Assure the use of company assets by managing production lot sizes and supplier replenishmentAssure inventory budget targets of raw and packaging material and finish goodsEnsure that all raw and packaging material and finish goods inventory is properly engineered and linkage with planning is properly communicatedEnsure inventory accuracy; work directly with Finance Controller on investigating / balancing material usage variancesWork directly with Quality Assurance team to minimize block & rework inventoriesManage reception of all goods at the siteManage conformance of shipment with Bill of LadingManage JIT deliveries to production linesCoordinate the control and variances of the inventory differencesManage MRP recommendations and ensures availability of raw and packaging materialAssures the processes of the replenishment and return of material related to supplier quality issuesResponsible to ensure supplier delivery, reliability and quantity compliance; addresses various issues as they occurCommunicates weekly our future material requirements with suppliersEnsures that production scheduling is in line with customer requirements in order to meet the customer demandManages MRP recommendations of finish goods products and ensures that production scheduling optimizes the utilization of the production equipmentWorks closely with Central Planning in resolving with the scheduling department the different issues related to product shortagesOptimize runtime of production lines to maximize output while servicing ordersFinance
Knows and understands the financial report related to his or her local activitiesWorks with Supply Chain Director on the preparation of the labor and expenses budgetExplains monthly variances to his or her budgetAnalyzes financial impact of decisions and prioritizes effortsGeneral
Leads and participates in operations / site project teams as requiredDevelops, tracks and publishes weekly and monthly Key Performance IndicatorsCommitted to providing a safe working environmentWorks within all regulatory requirementsAbility to adhere to GMP practices and all other food safety requirementsPerform all other related duties as requiredAbout you
