We are seeking a proactive and passionate Events & Marketing Specialist to assist in planning and execution of bi-weekly or monthly events at PJ’s multi-zone fitness, wellness and lifestyle hub. This role is crucial for maximizing our hub's visibility, attracting diverse users, and creating a robust calendar of socially impactful and engaging programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conceptualize, plan, and execute a diverse and inclusive calendar of community-focused programs, workshops, seasonal festivals, pop-ups, and partnership events (e.g., local artisan markets, health & wellness classes, educational seminars).
- Source and cultivate relationships with local community groups, non-profits, individual artisans, and small business owners to co-create and host activities.
- Lead event operations from end-to-end, including vendor negotiation, logistics management, setup / breakdown, and on-site coordination to ensure high-quality execution.
- Drive revenue / sustainability by actively coordinating and promoting venue rentals, open-space usage, and sponsorship opportunities for hub activities.
- Assist in developing and managing content for all communications, focusing on promoting the hub's value and accessibility across the community.
- Manage and update content for the website, social media, and digital platforms, ensuring a consistent and engaging local voice.
- Prepare publicity plans and support media liaison / public relations to ensure strong awareness and high participation in all hub programs.
- Prepare and monitor event and marketing budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and effective tracking of expenses.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with all key stakeholders : community members, partners, tenants, vendors, and local government representatives.
- Coordinate internal operations with external parties to ensure seamless delivery of all programs.
- Conduct post-event evaluations, collecting feedback, and preparing detailed reports on attendance, community impact, and program effectiveness.
- Keep abreast of local community needs and competitive trends to identify and develop innovative, relevant, and high-impact programs.
REQUIREMENTS
Diploma / Degree in Marketing, Mass Communications, Event Management, or a related field.At least 3 - 5 years of relevant experience.Experience working in a community-focused, non-profit, or local retail environment is highly advantageous.Technical Savvy with strong knowledge of creative social media and up-to-date digital application skills.Passionate about community engagement and creating social value.Exceptional Project Management and organizational skills with high attention to detail.Strong Networking and Relationship Building Skills with the ability to connect with diverse groups of people.Strong Negotiation Skills for managing vendor and partnership agreements.Proactive, Resourceful, and a Multi-Tasker with excellent initiative.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to represent the hub with professionalism and warmth.Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, during key events.#J-18808-Ljbffr
