Business Studies Teacher

Responsibilities :

• To provide planned teaching to students, monitor performance on a daily basis, and provide corrective and descriptive feedback throughout the learning process.
• To demonstrate knowledge and understanding of individual students.
• To demonstrate written evidence of preparation for classes, including both long-term and short-term planning.
• To be familiar and cognizant of the IGCSE Syllabus and Finland Curriculum.
• To assess students' achievement levels.
• To correct and mark work in a timely manner, and provide descriptive written and verbal feedback to support student learning.
• To vary teaching techniques and resources / materials to suit students' learning styles, motivation levels, needs, and capabilities.
• To develop and implement a classroom management plan that emphasizes a tidy and orderly learning environment.
• To test and evaluate students' abilities, record grades, check and register attendance, and prepare Performance Reports for parents.
• To maintain control in the classroom and apply disciplinary measures in accordance with administrative policies and regulations.
• To supervise students outside the classroom and ensure responsibility for assigned areas as directed by the administration.
• To help uphold and enforce school rules and administrative regulations both inside and outside the classroom.
• To keep accurate and complete written records for all parent meetings, student meetings, and behavioral or disciplinary incidents.
• To demonstrate strong subject knowledge and teaching skills.
• To maintain professional relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
• To attend and participate in all staff meetings.
• To accept responsibility for extra-curricular activities.
