About Tenby Tropicana Aman

Tenby Tropicana Aman opened in 2018 and operates on a purpose-built campus in a green setting in Tropicana Aman, just outside Kuala Lumpur. With 500+ students aged 3-16 across primary and secondary, our school continues to grow and fosters a happy atmosphere and strong sense of community.

    Secondary EAL and English Teacher – Key Responsibilities

    We are looking for someone who :

  • Upholds the School’s Vision, Mission and Core Values.
  • Full responsibility for English language teaching and assimilation into the mainstream curriculum for EAL students with little or no English language skills.
  • Equip EAL students with the necessary English vocabulary, oral and writing skills.
  • Work closely with parents, class and subject teachers to support the English needs of EAL students.
  • Write and implement EAL Teaching and Improvement / Development Plans.
  • Analyse assessment data to measure EAL students’ progress.
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset and embrace change.
  • Possess knowledge and experience of assessment and tracking to inform student progress, including the use of standardised tests.
  • Deliver INSET / training to staff as part of the CPD programme.
  • Assist the School with developing greater impact on learning practices.
  • Have sound knowledge and practice of the National Curriculum for England, curriculum development, and current educational thinking.
  • Be an excellent practitioner, self-starter and team player with excellent time management, communication and people skills.
  • Contribute to the wider School Community.

    The Secondary EAL and English Teacher will report to the Head of Secondary.

    Qualifications and Experience

    Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related fields.
