As a Finance Executive , you will support the Finance Manager in day-to-day accounting and finance operations, ensuring accuracy, integrity and compliance across all financial processes. You will handle core accounting tasks and assist with reporting, budgeting, taxation, and compliance matters, contributing to the smooth running of the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
Full Set of Accounts Support
- Prepare and maintain the full set of accounts, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, journal postings and supporting schedules.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing.
- Prepare financial statements such as the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement and Cash Flow Reports.
- Generate AR & AP ageing reports and highlight collection / payment trends and anomalies to management.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of group and project-specific budgets.Perform variance analysis against actual performance to support cost control and project efficiency.Taxation & Regulatory Filings
Prepare SST (Sales and Service Tax) filings and ensure timely submission.Assist in annual tax computations and liaise with tax consultants to ensure compliance with tax regulations.Process and verify supplier invoices, ensuring appropriate cost coding and timely payments.Assist in verifying entries are in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.HDA Claims & Compliance
Prepare and review claims under the Housing Development Account (HDA), ensuring compliance with regulations, accuracy of supporting documents and monthly reconciliation.Audit & Internal Controls
Liaise with internal and external auditors during annual audits and prepare required schedules and documentation.Support the strengthening of internal controls and adherence to financial procedures.Statutory Compliance
Ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory payments and submissions (Income Tax, SST, Withholding Tax, Unclaimed Money, etc.) to avoid penalties.Maintain effective communication and working relationships with auditors, tax agents, bankers, lawyers, suppliers and internal departments.Special Projects & Ad-hoc Assignments
Support management with financial analysis, feasibility studies, or other assignments related to property development activities.Job Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, or MIA membership are an added advantage.Minimum 1 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance.Prior experience in the property development industry, especially with knowledge of HDA compliance and project accounting, will be an added advantage.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas), will be an added advantage.Experience with accounting software such as SQL, SAP, Oracle or any property-specific ERP system will also be an added advantage.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.High attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proactive, independent and resourceful approach to work.Collaborative team player with strong ethics and integrity.#J-18808-Ljbffr
