Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance Administrator

We need a hands-on ZDLRA Administrator to operate, secure and tune the Oracle Recovery Appliance environment. Role includes designing and applying protection policies, managing RMAN integrations, validating backups / restores, monitoring appliance health and coordinating with Oracle Support and backup teams. 24x7 operations and recovery-first mindset required.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer Oracle Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance : protection policies, retention, replication and capacity planning.
• Integrate and manage RMAN client servers and configure backup / recovery workflows.
• Validate backups and perform restores and recovery drills (full DB, tablespace, point-in-time, block recovery).
• Monitor appliance health, capacity, space reclamation, and backup job performance.
• Patch management : apply appliance software / firmware updates and coordinate maintenance windows.
• Troubleshoot backup failures, SBT / Media Manager issues and coordinate with Oracle Support (SRs).
• Implement security controls : encryption, access control, audit logging and segregation of duties.
• Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, recovery playbooks and DR test plans.
• Automate routine tasks (reports, alerts, capacity forecasts) using scripts or orchestration tools.

Required (Must-Have) Qualifications

=1–2 years hands-on with ZDLRA / Oracle Recovery Appliance strongly preferred.
