Summary
This role is for a proactive and skilled DLP Platform Operations Engineer to manage and support the day-to-day operations of our Data Loss Prevention (DLP) platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring platform stability, managing endpoint agents, handling incidents and troubleshooting, supporting DLP-related projects, and engaging with vendors to ensure seamless service delivery and crucial to enforcing data protection policies and minimizing the risk of sensitive data leakage.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage the health and performance of DLP infrastructure and endpoints.
- Perform routine checks and validations to ensure DLP policies are applied correctly across systems.
- Respond to alerts, incidents, and policy violations in a timely manner.
- Oversee deployment, upgrades, and health monitoring of DLP agents across endpoints.
- Troubleshoot and remediate agent-related issues to ensure consistent policy enforcement.
- Investigate DLP incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and coordinate with stakeholders for resolution.
- Escalate and follow through on complex issues with internal teams or external vendors.
- Participate in DLP-related projects, including policy tuning, expansion of coverage, and integration with other security platforms.
- Assist in incident, Problem and change management processes.
- Work with DLP vendors for platform upgrades, issue resolutions, and enhancements.
- Track support cases and ensure timely resolution in accordance with SLAs.
- Maintain operational documentation including SOPs, run books, and system diagrams.
- Generate periodic reports on platform status, incident trends, and KPIs.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, security policies, and audit requirements.
- Conduct user onboarding / off boarding and policy exception reviews.
- Support awareness and training initiatives related to data protection.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or higher degree.3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, preferably with DLP platforms.Hands-on experience on Microsoft Purview DLP is MUST.Strong knowledge of data classification, encryption, and cloud security frameworks.Proficiency in implementing and managing endpoint security controls across diverse IT environments.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience working with cross-functional teams and vendors.Knowledge of ITIL processes and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow) is a plus.Preferred Certifications : (1) CISSP (2) CDPSE (3) DLP Vendor Certifications (e.g., Symantec DLP Specialist).This is a 12-month contract role with a possible extension.Employment details
