Safety and health officer

Ensure all project sites comply with the Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA 1994) and other relevant Malaysian regulations.

Liaise with government authorities such as DOSH (JKKP), DOE and BOMBA to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities

• 2. Safety Inspection & Risk Management : Develop and implement site safety plans and comprehensive inspection schedules.
• Conduct daily and periodic site inspections, HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment & Risk Control) assessments and audits.
• Identify unsafe conditions or practices, prepare inspection reports, and ensure timely follow-up on corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents, near misses and unsafe acts, and propose corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans and occupational health programs.
• 4. Safety Culture & Training : Organize and promote EHS / WSHE campaigns to enhance safety awareness among employees and subcontractors.
• Conduct safety training, toolbox meetings, briefings and awareness programs.
• 5. Documentation & Audit Support : Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports and incident reports.
• Support internal and external audits to ensure continual compliance and improvement.
