We are looking for an experienced AS400 L2 / L3 Support Engineer skilled in RPG, RPGLE, CLP, CLLE,
and ALDON to support and enhance Core Banking or Enterprise applications on IBM i (AS / 400)
systems. The role focuses on incident resolution, root cause analysis, and minor development tasks
to maintain business-critical application stability.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyse and resolve AS400 application incidents, job failures, and data issues.
- Debug and implement minor code changes using RPG, RPGLE, CLP, CLLE.
- Monitor batch jobs and job queues; handle abends and job restarts.
- Manage incident and service request tickets using ITSM tools like ServiceNow.
- Package and deploy code using ALDON; ensure version control and approvals.
- Perform root cause analysis and document RCA reports.
- Support testing phases and liaise with business, QA, infra, and L1 / L2 teams.
- Maintain SOPs, KT documents, and operational documentation.
Required Skills :
Strong hands-on in RPG, RPGLE, CLP, CLLE.Experience with ALDON or Turnover version control tools.Good knowledge of AS400 job scheduling, spool file management, and commands.Incident and problem management experience (ITIL processes).Proficiency in DB2 / 400 and SQL queries.Strong communication and documentation skills.
