Assistant Head / Head of Management Information System (MIS)
A people-whisperer with a knack for numbers. To lead and manage all aspects of the company’s Management Information Systems to ensure accurate, secure, and timely information flow that supports decision-making, operational efficiency, and business growth across all F&B outlets and corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the MIS / IT strategy aligned with business goals and F&B operations.
- Lead the MIS team in planning, maintaining, and enhancing information systems across the company.
- Serve as key advisor to senior management on technology trends, system improvements, and digital transformation initiatives.
- System Administration & Development
- Oversee design, selection, and deployment of software systems for POS, ERP, inventory, HR, finance, and analytics.
- Ensure system integration across outlets, kitchens, warehouses, and HQ for seamless reporting.
- Manage vendors, contracts, and service-level agreements for hardware, software, and support services.
- Data Management & Analytics
- Establish robust data governance, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and security of operational and financial data.
- Provide actionable insights and dashboards for management decision-making (sales trends, inventory levels, customer behavior).
- Implement data backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity measures.
- Support & Training
- Ensure reliable technical support to outlets, central kitchen, and HQ staff.
- Develop user manuals, SOPs, and conduct training to improve system adoption and efficiency.
- Champion continuous improvement in system use and reporting accuracy.
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian IT regulations, PDPA (Personal Data Protection Act), and industry standards.
- Conduct regular IT audits and risk assessments to safeguard company assets and customer data.
Job Requirements
Education
Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.Postgraduate qualification or certifications (ITIL, PMP, CISSP) is an advantage.Experience
Minimum 8–10 years experience in MIS / IT management, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role (preferably in F&B, retail, or multi-outlet environments).Proven success in implementing POS, ERP, inventory, and reporting systems for operational efficiency.Strong leadership and people-management skills.Solid understanding of F&B operations and system requirements (POS, supply chain, inventory).Analytical mindset with ability to turn data into business insights.Knowledge of cybersecurity, PDPA compliance, and IT best practices.Excellent project management, vendor management, and problem-solving abilities.Seniority level
