Job Description – Business Development Manager (Cybersecurity License Sales)
Designation : Business Development Manager – Cybersecurity License Sales
Shifts : Day shifts with flexibility to support clients and partners across multiple time zones.
Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and acquire new clients through proactive hunting and lead generation across assigned territories.
- Drive assigned cybersecurity license sales and gross profit contribution within the allocated portfolio.
- Manage the entire sales lifecycle — from lead qualification to closure, renewals, and cross-sell opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives (CISO, CIO, IT Directors) to promote cybersecurity solutions.
- Collaborate with OEMs and channel partners to generate leads, co-sell opportunities, and expand license revenue.
- Develop and execute targeted campaigns to increase product awareness and market penetration.
- Maintain an expert-level understanding of licensing models, subscription frameworks, and pricing across vendors.
- Ensure up-to-date knowledge of major cybersecurity OEMs such as Microsoft Security, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, CrowdStrike, Sophos, and others.
- Complete vendor certifications and participate in joint sales enablement programs.
- Work closely with presales and delivery teams to ensure successful solution delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and account plans to track pipeline and performance metrics.
Partner and Ecosystem Management
Build and maintain strong partnerships with cybersecurity OEMs, distributors, and system integrators.Leverage partner programs, rebates, and MDF (Market Development Funds) to support sales initiatives.Represent the organization in vendor events, webinars, and cybersecurity conferences to promote services and build brand awareness.Proven experience in hunting, cold calling, and lead generation within the cybersecurity or IT license domain.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Deep understanding of cybersecurity domains, including cloud security, endpoint protection, identity management, and threat detection.Strong knowledge of software licensing and subscription sales models (user-based, consumption-based, or enterprise agreements).Minimum 5 years of experience in license or cybersecurity solution sales, ideally within the Microsoft ecosystem or multi-vendor environments.Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.Strong consultative and solution-selling approach.Organized, analytical thinker with solid problem-solving abilities.Comfortable working in a remote, matrix-driven, and fast-paced environment.Qualifications
Preferred Certifications : Microsoft Security, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet NSE, CrowdStrike, or equivalent cybersecurity vendor certifications.
Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or Business Administration (or equivalent experience).
