Role Overview

You will oversee the local accounting operations in Kuala Lumpur, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision‑making processes.

What You Will Do

• Prepare financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.
• Process vendor invoices, staff reimbursements, intercompany payments and ensure compliance with SST / WHT.
• Lead the annual audit process, collaborating with external auditors and providing necessary documentation.
• Develop and implement accounting procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Oversee local tax‑related matters, ensuring compliance and acting as the interface to Group Tax and Group Accounting.
• Monitor cash flow and cash management.
• Collaborate with controlling, support commercial discussions and financial modelling in diverse teams to support business initiatives and projects.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of accounting standards and industry best practices.
