What You Will Do

As the

Regional Safety and Health Officer (SHO) , you will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of Cisco’s global EHS programs. You’ll ensure compliance with local EHS regulations and Cisco’s internal policies, while promoting a strong safety culture through cross-functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities include :

Implement Cisco’s global EHS policies, procedures, and programs. Develop local compliance programs that align with regulations and enhance safety culture. Deliver training to employees, contractors, and partners on EHS awareness and practices. Act as the primary contact for local regulatory agencies on EHS matters. Lead incident investigations, conduct root cause analyses, and implement preventive measures. Perform EHS audits, risk assessments, and inspections regularly. Manage and maintain EHS documentation in line with legal and corporate policies. Lead local safety committee meetings and support corporate safety initiatives. Drive local and regional EHS projects and support ASEAN / APJC EHS goals. Serve as a trusted liaison between the global EHS team and local partners. WHO YOU ARE

You’re a highly organized, proactive team player with strong people skills and cultural awareness. You’re collaborative yet independent, capable of leading initiatives with both confidence and humility. You use your expertise, local insights, and global perspective to drive safety outcomes and build lasting impact.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field recognized by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH). Passed the National Institute of Safety and Health (NIOSH) SHO examination. At least 3 years of relevant experience in occupational safety and health. Completed university-accredited training in at least three areas : Occupational Medicine, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, or Psycho-sociology. Fluent in both Malay and English (written, verbal, and reading). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Additional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, or ISO 45001 / 14001 Auditor. Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Able to quickly learn and adopt new tools and systems. Experienced in organizing safety awareness events. Project management capabilities. Construction safety certification is a plus.
