Northern Sales Representative

Overview To manage distributors / wholesalers in the northern region and explore new business opportunities with distributors / wholesalers to drive distribution across all channels. Develop and implement effective sales strategies relevant to the trade and channel. Plan the route in the area of distribution and coverage for the assigned region. Collaborate with distributors / wholesalers to drive and increase sell-in, ensure effective trade spend when devising promotional plans while optimizing budget utilization, and coach distributor / wholesale sales teams to ensure trade execution excellence. Assist the marketing team in promotion / POSM execution in pharmacies and international chain stores.

Responsibilities

Manage distributors / wholesalers in the northern region to drive distribution across all channels.

Explore new business opportunities with distributors / wholesalers and increase sell-in.

Develop and implement sales strategies relevant to trade and channel.

Plan distribution routes and coverage for the assigned region.

Collaborate with distributors / wholesalers to optimize trade spend and promotional plans within budget.

Coach distributor / wholesale sales teams to ensure trade execution excellence.

Assist marketing team with promotion / POSM execution in pharmacies and international chain stores.

Requirements

Willingness to travel extensively within Penang and Kedah.

2–3 years of sales experience in the FMCG industry, preferably within the Northern region of Malaysia.

Able to adjust sales tactics based on client feedback and evolving market demands.

Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work independently.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Proficient in basic computer applications (Excel, Word, etc.).

Language proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin to serve Mandarin-speaking customers.

Own transport and a valid driving license.

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
