Position Summary
The Senior Electrical Engineer is a person with a high level of knowledge for the technology and processes within the working area and serves as a mentor for colleagues. The role is accountable for the maintenance KPIs of production lines and their auxiliary equipment, responsible for the electrical maintenance schedule, task assignment, and execution. The engineer ensures safety and legal compliance on maintenance works, drives a "Run to Standard" culture, and ensures teams work to it (Safety, Quality, CL, CILs, Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, etc.). The Electrical & Automation Technical Support contributes to the implementation of the Maintenance Roadmap based on the Site Strategy and drives behaviours to return to a basic standard condition, also by defining standard conditions for technicians and production.
The Electrical & Automation Technical Support is directly involved in the growth of the technical knowledge of colleagues through appropriate training and on‑the‑job training in the technologies in use and processes.
Responsibilities
- Is a role model for safety.
- Actively enforces safe working practices as per company safety policies and ensures work is done in compliance with legal requirements.
- Is point of expertise in developing the maintenance journey in the working area. Vision of zero stops & zero breakdowns minimizes unplanned stops using the right maintenance strategies.
- Owns the process of breakdown elimination, the maintenance KPIs and is accountable for the overall electrical maintenance cost from production lines and auxiliary equipment.
- Analyzes & develops necessary maintenance skills in the team and holds meetings to plan all maintenance‑related activities.
- Owns, develops, and reviews quality standards for maintenance.
- Coaches the organization on all behaviours and tools related to maintenance, technology, and process.
- Works closely with the mechanical team, quality team, and process engineers, leading and teaching them the most effective troubleshooting procedures and improvements.
- Develops a skill and capability journey for the maintenance team to fulfil the full expert maintenance scope (e.g., planning and scheduling), including the development of the operator maintenance part, and acts as a trainer for the working area.
- Assists the direct superior in providing leadership and direction to the electrical team and supports manufacturing business units’ operations to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Acts as the lead electrical resource in all troubleshooting activities in the manufacturing department, supporting shift technicians and line RSTs when required.
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.Minimum 4 years of working experience in maintenance or electrical / control systems in a highly automated FMCG manufacturing environment. Knowledge of production processes in the disposable hygiene sector is an important plus.Minimum 3 years of experience leading a maintenance team.Hands‑on experience is critical as the job requires a very hands‑on approach in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance work.Strong machinery troubleshooting skills, especially in electrical / electronic circuits and pneumatic systems.Knowledge of PLC, servomotors and AC motor controllers (Siemens Step 7, Mitsubishi, Rockwell, Allen Bradley) is compulsory.Knowledge of 5S principles.Good communication and interpersonal skills – English knowledge is required.Experience leading a team of electrical maintenance supervisors / technicians.Seniority level : Executive | Employment type : Full‑time | Job function : Engineering and Information Technology | Industries : Manufacturing
