Senior Android Engineer

mx51 is a payments-as-a-service solution for banks, non-bank acquirers, and other merchant service providers. We are building a payment platform that allows merchants to accept payments in-store, in-app and online, whilst consolidating all their data on a real-time business management dashboard.

As a Senior Android Engineer, reporting to our Engineering Manager, you will be contributing to the development of our Android app that is used by some of the biggest financial institutions in Australia. You might have already used it unknowingly as you make payments during your everyday purchases. As part of the mx51 Device team, you'll play a key role in delivering projects and collaborating within the Device team.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for :

• Design, develop and maintain our Android application in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
• Create and optimise clean APIs by collaborating with other Engineering teams
• Use tools such as Paparazzi, JUnit and Github Actions to automate our testing and CI / CD
• Collaborate with DevOps to containerize applications using Docker and deploy to Kubernetes clusters on AWS
• Work cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineering teams to deliver solutions that meet customer needs
• Participate in development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices, recommending and implementing improvements to our tech stack.
