Lead Artist
We're looking for a Lead Artist to join our award-winning team in Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur. As a Lead Artist, you'll lead and manage a diverse team of artists across multiple disciplines, providing a clear artistic vision, driving quality standards, and ensuring consistency across projects. You will excel at solving artistic challenges and collaborating with Design, Code, and QA to deliver visually compelling player experiences.
As a global gaming company, we have enabled millions to conquer Minecraft Dungeons, battle in Rust Console Edition, and create new adventures in Fallout 76. We collaborated with Rockstar Games to bring Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, and partnered with Obsidian Entertainment on Grounded : Fully Yoked Edition for Nintendo Switch and PS4 / PS5. Double Eleven values its people and maintains a 400-person team representing over 30 nationalities. What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the artistic team in the development and continuity of high-quality 3D and 2D art assets
- Collaborate with producers and artists to create an art production roadmap aligned to content releases and maintain planning foresight
- Maintain effective information flow to ensure team alignment with project objectives
- Provide regular reviews and constructive feedback on the team's work
- Encourage creativity and participation from all team members
- Foster efficient collaboration between team members and other dependent teams
- Maintain a close working relationship with your direct manager, producers, leads, and other teams to push project quality
- Share knowledge and recommend best practices in your area
- Ensure produced and integrated assets respect the game's artistic vision and meet quality standards
- Manage direct reports through regular 1 : 1 meetings and personal development plans
What We're Looking For
Extensive experience as an artist with multiple shipped titles and a strong, relevant digital portfolioExperience as a Senior or Lead Artist in the games industryExperience with Maya, 3D Studio Max or equivalentExperience with Photoshop or other related 2D softwareExperience working in varied art styles from stylization to realismExperience with shaders and real-time rendering pipelinesPBR workflow experience (Substance Painter / Designer)Visual art skills such as illustration, graphic design, VFX experienceStrong observation and research skillsStrong knowledge of the video game industry and development processesStrong understanding of art fundamentalsExperience working in an Agile production workflowFluent in English, both verbal and writtenQualifications
