Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst (L3) with 6–9 years of expertise in Core Banking – Loans & Payments modules . The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of AS400, COBOL / RPG applications, REM (Remittance), and ROS (Retail Online System / Payments) . The role involves handling critical production support (L3) , conducting root cause analysis , and ensuring stability of banking applications in alignment with ITIL best practices .
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide L3-level production support for Core Banking applications (Loans, REM, ROS, and related Payments modules).
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents, defects, and performance issues in COBOL / RPG applications on AS400 / iSeries platform .
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues and recommend permanent fixes .
- Monitor and support batch jobs and payment processing systems , ensuring SLA adherence and timely exception handling.
- Collaborate closely with L1 / L2 support teams, developers, vendors, and business stakeholders for seamless issue resolution.
- Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes following ITIL best practices.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles .
- Provide on-call / after-hours support as part of a rotation schedule when required.
- Work with infrastructure teams to ensure system performance, availability, and resilience .
Required Skills & Experience :
6–9 years of relevant experience in Application Maintenance / Production Support (L3) within Core Banking.Strong knowledge of Loans module, REM (Remittance), and ROS (Payments / Retail Online System) .Expertise in AS400 (iSeries), COBOL, RPG, CL programming .Hands-on experience with incident management, problem management, change management under ITIL framework .Solid understanding of batch processing, job scheduling, and payment settlement systems .Proven ability to analyze logs, debug programs, and implement fixes in production.Excellent troubleshooting and RCA skills with a proactive problem-solving approach.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Good-to-Have Skills :
Exposure to banking domain processes (Retail Banking, Loans, Payments).Familiarity with SWIFT / ISO20022 payment messaging standards.Knowledge of Unix / Linux scripting and job scheduling tools (Control-M, Autosys, etc.).Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments .Additional Information :
