Junior Accountant

Overview

Join to apply for the Junior Accountant role at Orca Pacific : A Monks Company . This is a full-time position on the Corporate team within the Finance department. The role involves day-to-day financial operations, month-end close, and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the General Ledger Accounts
• Manage Fixed Asset / Prepayment / Expense Accrual schedules
• Manage Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Reconcile COGS accrual and bills monthly
• Manage month-end closing and statutory financial reporting to meet deadlines
• Review and analyze Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss accounts
• Prepare and lodge payroll tax and BAS / IAS / GST / VAT
• Assist with consolidating quarter / half year / year end accounts and prepare papers for the S4 group
• Assist with financial analysis
• Liaise with external tax advisory for withholding tax implications in existing and new markets
• Assist with statutory tax lodgement
• Assist with Global and local statutory audit
• Maintain and improve processes and internal controls, following up on mitigating actions for internal control weaknesses
• Work with external bookkeepers / vendors
• Assist with ad hoc tasks and other activities directed by Management
