Role : Senior Delivery Manager - (Operations Delivery & DevOps) Let me tell you about the role The Senior Delivery Manager translates strategy into actionable steps and drives successful delivery of products, platforms, and services. This hands-on role focuses on day-to-day decision-making and ensuring the right products, platforms and services are built and delivered efficiently. It involves key decisions on feature development, balancing stakeholder priorities, and ensuring work meets quality, budget, and timeline requirements. They work closely with multi-functional teams to align with business goals and customer needs, enabling the seamless delivery of impactful solutions. This role demonstrates management of delivering initiatives and services involving multiple collaborators and teams. They effectively lead delivery teams, balance strategic priorities with tactical execution to achieve business outcomes, guide resource planning and financial tracking, and ensure budgets and timelines are met without compromising quality. They act as the focal point for stakeholders, managing expectations and resolving intensified risks and dependencies. They promote Agile methodologies and continuously improve team performance through feedback and process optimization. What you will deliver The role will advocate and lead in this and promote a culture of security and safety in everything that we do. Technology delivery management : Oversee projects involving the development and implementation of products, platforms, and business processes to achieve desired business outcomes. Create and handle roadmaps, schedules, and budgets. Act as the main liaison between collaborators, development teams, and business units globally dispersed, at various levels within and outside of bp. Incorporate Agile frameworks to align and track project progress, resolve dependencies, and ensure continuous delivery of value. Identify common issues across business division and help design a standardized solution for all. Proactively identify risks, suggest fixes for defects and support timely resolution of critical production issues. Data-driven decision-making : Know a product, platform, or service's health and key performance characteristics to increase performance, ensure compliance, and optimize operation. Champion transparency across bp by showcasing work in progress, elevating metrics and seeking regular feedback from internal collaborators and users. Expertly and independently make decisions when and as required, drive decision makings toward common goals while being responsible for outcomes. Resource and vendor management : Strategically handle internal teams, external suppliers, and technology partners to balance capacity and ensure efficient delivery. Allocate tasks to vendor teams. Handle, plan, review and influence resource capacity. Financial management : Oversee budget planning, allocation, and supervising to ensure alignment with business objectives. Supervise financial performance, control costs, and deliver accurate reporting to support decision-making and optimize resource utilization across projects, platforms, or services. Ensure operational integrity, assuring operational compliance with architectural and security standards, as well as compliance and policy controls refined by Strategy, Digital Security or other relevant Regulatory, Legal and Compliance functions. Stakeholder management : Work with geographically diverse business groups and support teams to deliver solutions effectively and efficiently. Follow change management procedures for smooth and timely delivery of solutions. Develop excellent business relationships with collaborators, becoming the single point of contact for supported applications and technology solutions. What you will need to be successful (experience and qualifications) Experience with Azure DevOps principles, DevOps frameworks and operations delivery. Experience in Power Platform / Power Automation / Power BI and coding skills with Python. Good understanding of relational databases - Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases / queries. Knowledge of AWS skills, navigating through data analytics services / databases, and experience with data platforms such as Databricks / Azure Datahub or similar ones. Data visualization and reporting tools using PowerBI, Microsoft Office 365 skills on Excel integration and SharePoint. 5+ years experience in IT industry with experience in designing, planning, implementing, maintaining, and documenting solutions. Experience in the application of modern Service Delivery methods - Site Reliability Engineering to traditional ITIL, and understanding of Product Based delivery Experience in end-to-end project lifecycle including requirement analysis, testing, deployment, and production support. Experience with large-scale enterprise-wide IT environments containing multiple technologies, servers, and logical environment. Experience in strategic planning, demand management and portfolio prioritization / management to ensure compatibility with current systems, assessing cost implications and operational impacts.
