About the role

We're seeking a creative Social Media Content Creator to develop engaging, scroll-stopping content for our social media presence across TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. If you live and breathe social media content and love creating videos that make people pause, share, and think, you'll thrive in this role, especially knowing your work will make a positive impact on people's lives.

  • On-site (No hybrid and remote options)
  • Location : Sg, Merab, Bangi, Selangor
  • Competitive salary based on experience

What You'll Do :

  • Create entertaining, shareable content for Aras Mega's social media channels that aligns with our mission and values
  • Conceptualize, script, produce, and edit video pieces for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
  • Stay ahead of social trends and cultural moments, integrating Aras Mega's books and expertise into conversations in surprising, authentic ways
  • Collaborate directly with authors and experts to create author spotlights and book feature content
  • Execute large-scale content campaigns, from creator collaborations to scripted content featuring our animated characters
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, business development, and design teams to promote product launches, podcast episodes, course updates, and company initiatives
  • Develop and evolve our short-form video strategy using data-driven insights, experiment with content formats and iterate on successful approaches
  • Engage authentically with our community, responding to comments and building relationships with followers

    • About You : Required :

  • 2-3 years of social media content creation experience with a genuine love for books and reading
  • Proven video production skills with proficiency in in-app creator tools (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube) and video editing software (Capcut, Edits, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Davinci Resolve or similar)
  • Deep understanding of social media trends with the ability to spot and capitalise on emerging opportunities quickly
  • Strong storytelling abilities and creative problem-solving skills
  • Natural people person who thrives on connecting with diverse audiences, building authentic relationships, and fostering community engagement
  • Fluency in both Bahasa Melayu and English for bilingual content creation
  • Portfolio or reel showcasing relevant social media content (required for application)
  • Comfortable appearing on-camera when needed

    • Preferred :

  • Experience in publishing, education, or mission-driven organisations
  • Familiarity with additional creative tools (Canva, After Effects, motion graphics)
  • Experience collaborating with subject matter experts or thought leaders
  • Understanding of social media analytics and performance optimisation
