Key Responsibilities

Finance

  • Manage full spectrum of finance and accounting functions, including AP, AR, GL, cash flow, payroll processing and statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDF, PCB).
  • Prepare day-to-day accounting entries and month-end close.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts for submission to Singapore.
  • Prepare annual financial statements in compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS).
  • Handle budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support management decision-making.
  • Monthly management reporting, variance analysis and presentation to management
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretary, banks, and government authorities (e.g., LHDN, EPF, SOCSO, HRDF).
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as corporate tax, SST, and Companies Act.
  • Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures.

Human Resources

  • HR full spectrum including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance appraisal, and offboarding.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbook in line with Malaysian labour law.
  • Foster positive employee relations and handle disciplinary / grievance matters.
  • Support organizational development, training programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Employment Act 1955 and other relevant HR regulations in Malaysia.
  • Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance and HR, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian tax laws, labour legislation, and statutory compliance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Communication, Leadership and Interpersonal Skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting / HR software.
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
