The Assistant Manager - Maintenance is responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and operational readiness of the central kitchen’s infrastructure, utilities, and equipment. This role ensures all building systems comply with safety regulations, support uninterrupted food production, and meet hygiene standards aligned with food manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily maintenance of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems within the facility.
- Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all food production equipment and utilities.
- Supervise third‑party contractors, ensuring service quality and compliance with safety standards.
- Monitor and manage utility usage (electricity, water, gas) to support energy efficiency objectives.
- Ensure building and equipment meet HACCP, HALAL, MESTI, and local regulatory requirements.
- Respond to and troubleshoot urgent facility‑related breakdowns to avoid production downtime.
- Maintain facility documentation, service logs, and inspection reports.
Job Qualification
Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Maintenance or Facilities Engineering.Minimum 3–5 years in facilities or maintenance roles within a food production environment.Strong knowledge of utilities systems, food safety compliance, and preventive maintenance planning.Familiar with building regulations and industrial safety standards.Good organizational, contractor coordination, and problem‑solving skills.Note : working location in Section 16, Shah Alam.
