The VP HR for Asia-Oceania leads the human resources strategy, operations, and organizational development across the Zone. This role ensures alignment of HR practices with business goals, builds regional HR capability, drives talent strategies, ensures local compliance, and partners with BU Directors, Talent Acquisition Director and Sales Team leaders to deliver growth, engagement, and high performance in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic leadership
- Develop and implement the HR strategy for the Asia region aligned with the global business and HR priorities.
- Partner with business unit leaders and regional management teams to drive organizational performance and workforce readiness.
- Act as a strategic advisor on workforce transformation, digital capability building, and future-of-work initiatives.

Talent & Organisational Development
Lead actions on succession planning, leadership development, and employee engagement across the region.Lead deployment inside the zone of group programs effectively (e.g., performance management, learning, diversity & inclusion).Identify and develop high-potential talent to build strong leadership pipelines in the BUs.Direct workforce planning and training to close skill gaps and meet customer and market demands.Employee Relations & Compliance
Ensure HR policies and practices are compliant with local employment laws across all countries in the region.Promote a culture of integrity, inclusion, and respect across diverse cultural contexts.Manage complex employee relations issues and act as a senior escalation point for HR matters.Oversee regional compensation and benefits strategies to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.Provide insight into market trends and regulatory changes that impact pay practices and benefits.Lead annual salary increase review + semestrial bonus reviewHR Operations & Transformation
Drive ongoing improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and elevate the employee experience, ensuring alignment with group policies and established procedures.Maintain accurate HR data in all systems and tools.Responsible for HR reporting, KPIs, and analytics to deliver data-driven insights. .Drive change management and transformation efforts to support business growth and integration in the region.PROFILE
Experience
10+ years in HR leadership roles, preferably regional or multi-country scope.Proven track record in strategic HR planning , organizational development , and change management .Experience in talent management , succession planning , and leadership development .Strong exposure to compensation & benefits strategy and HR compliance across diverse geographies.Strategic Thinking : Ability to align regional HR strategy with global priorities.Business Partnering : Skilled in influencing senior leaders and driving organizational performance.Transformation Leadership : Expertise in workforce transformation, digital capability building, and future-of-work initiatives.Analytical Skills : Proficient in HR reporting, KPIs, and data-driven insights.Employee Relations : Strong capability to manage complex issues and foster inclusion.Communication & Cultural Agility : Excellent interpersonal skills to work across diverse cultural contexts.Knowledge
Deep understanding of local employment laws across Asia like Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia Hong Kong, Australia and other APJ countries.Familiarity with market trends in compensation and benefits.Knowledge of HR systems , tools, and data management.Education
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).Certifications in HR (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) are a plus.Seniority level
