The candidate will be responsible for procurement and assisting the manager in cost monitoring and control.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Contract Stage
- Assist in establishing project budgets.
- Pre-qualify tenderers, source and identify suitable candidates, evaluate and recommend tenderers according to the tender programme.
- Conduct cost analysis : review pre-tender estimates, analyze submitted tenders, perform elemental cost analysis for building and infrastructure works, and carry out cost economic studies of alternative specifications and designs.
- Review tender and contract documents.
- Coordinate procurement processes, including calling tenders, reviewing tender reports, attending tender interviews, negotiating, and finalizing awards.
- Review and rationalize rates.
- Post Contract Stage
- Perform site valuations and process interim progress claims monthly.
- Review quotations or claims for variation works submitted by contractors.
- Review final accounts.
- Monitor contractual status.
- Assist in cost control by monitoring and evaluating RFVs.
- Help prepare financial statements.
- Others
- Prepare quotation documents for minor and new works.
- Compile and collate cost data reports.
- Maintain GLPP and standard tender documents of C&C.
- Assist in cost estimates for new land FS projects.
Additional responsibilities include ensuring compliance with quality, safety, health, and environmental standards as required by the company, and performing any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
Degree, diploma, or certificate in Quantity Surveying or Building Technology.
Skills & Abilities
Proficiency in costing, estimating, and knowledge of pre- and post-contract activities.
