Overview

Position : Manufacturing / Production Technician (Entry level) at IFF in Taman Pulau Pinang, Penang, Malaysia. This role supports production operations by contributing to KPI monitoring, safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the site. Responsibilities

Ability to self-motivate and guide coworkers to achieve higher goals. Support all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure they are monitored and met within the specified time period. Actively participate in projects as a contributor by providing input related to production. Maintain discipline in HACCP, GMP, and Food Safety compliance. Influence peers and superiors to comply with site regulations, requirements, and policies. Maintain synergy within the department; collaborate with the production team to achieve optimized outcomes. Contribute to EHSQ (Environment, Health, Safety and Quality) and Food Safety practices and ensure regulatory compliance and best-practice performance. Assist Shift Leaders / Supervisors / Production Manager to implement and maintain the site’s Safety Management Systems, identify hazards, promote safe behaviors, and support incident reporting and investigation. Promote environmental care by understanding environmental impact and ensuring environmentally safe processes and practices are followed. Support compliance with the Site Process Safety Management (PSM) program and ensure proper training and adherence to PSM requirements. Staff Management / Development

Ensure inductions are completed by area Supervisors / Shift Leaders. Understand your role in the business and seek guidance when unsure. Complete Personal and Professional Development plans at the start of each fiscal year; participate in fair performance reviews and development via self-record keeping. Utilize Personal Performance Plans and schedule reviews to set clear standards and provide performance feedback; self-evaluation is required before submission. Contribute to production training and development plans to maintain a highly trained and flexible workforce. Assist with procedure and documentation updates for the production site. Engage in self-driven development through company learning tools and seek guidance from supervisors as learning is self-responsibility. Operating Costs

Assist Supervisors / Shift Leaders in managing DPC and Production-related IPC costs. Actively seek opportunities to reduce operating costs and improve service levels. Monitor and manage production rework stocks to minimize cost impact and ensure quick disposal. Engage the area team to identify and lead cost-saving projects at the area level. Production

Strive to monitor and meet KPIs within the defined time frame. Adhere to written procedures, recipes, 5S principles, GMP, and HACCP for product quality. Complete liquid raw material deliveries and pre-weigh dry / wet materials to meet production plans. Assist in achieving production schedules efficiently and manage staff rosters to meet production needs. Support timely production performance reporting and compliance with TOI (Temporary Operating Instructions). Perform other tasks as assigned by superiors. Projects

Contribute to site Management of Change (MOC) by offering ideas as needed. Participate in training and maintenance plans for new equipment and adhere to SOPs for new equipment. Assist in post-completion reviews of capital projects to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Administrative And Other

Investigate complaints through to root cause. Follow Production Corrective Action Reports (CAR). Support halal certification for the site and uphold site certification.
