Office Automation & Technical Support Manager

The Office Automation & Technical Support Manager oversees office technology systems, manages IT support, and leads the lifecycle of all workstation equipment across all Malaysian offices (Titiwangsa, Menara KH, Cyberjaya, Penang). The role is ideal for a tech‑savvy leader who excels at implementing automation tools, managing device procurement, delivering excellent user support, and providing strategic leadership to enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee selection, deployment, and management of office automation tools (e.g., M365, Microsoft Dynamics, JIRA), collaborating with department heads to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely upgrades, support, and integration of systems.
  • Lead internal technical support team to provide high‑quality, timely support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Implement and maintain helpdesk system to track, prioritize, and resolve IT issues efficiently.
  • Develop and enforce IT support policies, procedures, and documentation to maintain smooth operations and ensure security compliance.
  • Develop and manage the organization’s private SharePoint intranet.
  • Procure, configure, and distribute laptops, mobile devices, and office technology equipment, ensuring timely provision to new hires and existing employees.
  • Oversee inventory management, maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting of office hardware and software systems.
  • Implement backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity protocols.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor IT admin and technical support team.
  • Organize and deliver training sessions for staff on new office automation tools, software, and IT policies.
  • Develop user guides and technical documentation to enhance self‑service support.
  • Collaborate with senior management to identify technology‑driven opportunities to increase organizational efficiency and innovation.
  • Stay up‑to‑date with latest office automation trends, software solutions, and best practices in technical support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT support, cloud solutioning, office automation, or related field, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of office software systems, workflow automation tools, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity practices.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with proactive and hands‑on approach to troubleshooting.
  • Experience in managing IT projects, including system rollouts and upgrades.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with non‑technical staff and cross‑functional teams.
