Overview

Are you a pro at negotiating and drafting contracts and have a background in international law? Are you looking for a challenge and interested in working in a hi-tech environment? Then you might be the experience Legal Counsel we are looking for!

PEC is an international technology supplier, committed to enabling the production of green batteries for a Blue Planet. We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is based in our office in Butterworth, Malaysia. By joining us, you will contribute to building the first large-scale battery factories in Europe, Asia and the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, interpret and review agreements, contracts, documents, filings, correspondence and various forms.
  • Administer the Intellectual Property of the Company.
  • Focus on strategic initiatives and compliance programs to reduce and efficiently manage the company’s risk exposure.
  • Report to the VP of Corporate Affairs.

The ideal candidate has

  • A Master’s degree in Law or equivalent, with 3 to 5 years of proven experience in an international operating company.
  • Excellent knowledge of English.
  • Strong communication skills, direct and open personality with high ethical standards.
  • Excellent analytic, decision-making and negotiating skills.
  • An organized, structured and accurate working attitude.
  • Experience in a hi-tech / IP-sensitive environment.
