The Position

We are looking for an Automation Developer to join Roche and our Roche Services & Solutions Center.

About The Role :

As an Automation Developer , you will ensure that the strategic value of Automation technologies are delivered and maintained. You will be focused, but not limited to, developing and maintaining solutions using scripting languages, desktop automation and robotic process automation and other continuous improvement activities in a customer-centric way. You will work in a collaborative and agile environment, surrounded by other Continuous Improvement enthusiasts at the Roche Services and Solutions (RSS), building amazing solutions for our Roche peers and ultimately impacting our patients.

You will be part of the RSS Analytics and Automation - a global team with regional presence in Switzerland, India, Costa Rica, Hungary and Malaysia. We operate in an agile organizational set-up without extensive hierarchical structure, where all our employees lead from every seat. Your main responsibilities include :

• Design, develop, test, support solutions to automate processes through RPA, scripting, Desktop Automation (e.g. VBS, Google AppScript, SAP Script, Looker Studio, Winshuttle) and enhanced workflow automation platforms.
• Be the go-to-person for all technical questions on the implementation and operations of automation processes, especially bring the technical judgment to table when it comes to select the best tool for a use case.
• Operate the automation solutions and have an open ear for suggestions of the process owners.
• Embrace new ways of working with fast iterations, lean documentation and planning, close alignment to our colleagues from business and IT and close communication across global teams.
• Collaborate in an agile and cross-functional team with other Automation Experts, Lean Six Sigma Experts, and Process Mining Experts to blend various fields and technologies such as : Business Process Mining, Lean Six Sigma, Agile Project Management, and more, so our Roche peers and patients receive the best solutions.
• Partner closely with Global Product Owners, developers and Portfolio Managers and boost cross-regional collaboration and leverage existing solutions.
• Transition and maintain automations in production, as required.
• Lead implementations with regional and / or global teams.
