Responsibilities

• The Line(s) of Business Underwriting Manager I leads the development of the underwriting strategy for (a) specific line(s) of business and oversees execution to deliver the required portfolio performance
• Identify opportunities and risks, use data and insights to make informed decisions and implement changes as needed to achieve desired outcomes
• Leverage knowledge of market trends and distribution dynamics and work through local teams to ensure that customer needs are met
• Serve as a referral point for Underwriting decisions which require empowerment to their level
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver business objectives and work with local underwriting teams to ensure consistency and adherence to underwriting standards
• Play a key role in improving underwriting processes and efficiency for their line(s) of business and nurture talent to ensure the organisation remains sustainable and fit for the future
