Senior Specialist Finance & Accounting (KL Office)

Overview

The Senior Specialist Finance and Accounting is responsible for managing the day-to-day finance, accounts tasks and procurement management for Commerz Global Service Solutions. This role involves preparing management accounts, documents and reports, including budget preparation, reporting and control, income management, and financial reporting to external bodies.

Job Purposes : Support the Head of Finance in recording and retrieving financial details of the Company including maintaining management accounts, processing payments, cash handling, staff salaries and claims. Monitor actual cost incurred vs budgeted cost. Manage end-to-end procurement process. Prepare billing and monitor aging of bills to inter-company.

Key Measurables : Achievement of agreed service levels including : timeliness of monthly close, processing invoices, payment transactions, payroll processing time and submission of management accounts. Quality measures include input error rate, invoice accuracy and payment transaction accuracy. Support on ad-hoc tasks as required by management.

Key Activities

• Handle full set of accounts including management accounts, bank reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, accounting schedules, and related tasks.
• Ensure proper recording, documentation and filing of all accounting transactions.
• Prepare monthly management accounts within the dateline.
• Compute and prepare SST computation.
• Perform other administrative functions of the accounts department.
• Verify staff expenses, staff advances vouchering and payments.
• Manage cash, cash flow reporting, budget comparison and related analyses.
• Handle inter-company transactions and reconciliation.
• Prepare invoices to clients.
• Prepare presentation slides for management and stakeholder meetings.
• Procurement management : prepare purchase orders, conduct contract reviews and vendor assessments.
• Prepare the company yearly budget.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretaries, and other stakeholders.
• Perform any ad-hoc tasks as required.
